Bend, Tx is positioned right past a "V" shaped bend in the Colorado river. Its old post office is now overgrown with vines. There are two monuments in the town, one to veterens who have died overseas, and one to the loyal town doctor, Dr. Edward Doss. Doss treated patients in the area from 1882 until his death in 1928. His headstone reads "No night too dark or road too long to serve his fellow man".

Bend is the entrance point to the Colorado Bend State Park.
