Bartlett

 Barltett, Tx, population 1,675, was established in 1881 on land donated by John T. Bartlett and J. E. Pietzsch. It was built as a station on the Katy Railroad.
In 1909 the Bartlett-Florence Railway Company (renamed the Bartlett Western) built new track into the west. The town served as a shipping point for cotton, grain, livestock, and produce in 1914.
The Bartlett Western experienced some financial dificulties from the Depression, and eventually closed in 1935.
